Cancellation Policy

These are the terms that apply when you book a lesson. They are also shown on the booking page before you pay, so nothing here is a surprise. A few situations are not settled yet and are marked as such rather than guessed at — ask Jingyao about those before booking if they matter to you.

Notice period for rescheduling

You can reschedule a lesson at no cost as long as you do it at least 12 hours in advance.

Late cancellation

A refund is available if you ask at least one working day before the lesson. Inside the 24 hours before your lesson, no refund is given.

No-shows

If you miss a lesson without telling Jingyao beforehand, it counts as taken and is not refunded.

Lateness

If you are more than 15 minutes late without letting Jingyao know, the lesson is cancelled and not refunded.

If you do tell her in advance that you will be late, she waits for you for the whole lesson slot. The lesson still finishes at its scheduled time, so it is not extended to make up the difference.

Cancellations by the teacher

To be confirmed

What you are entitled to if Jingyao has to cancel — a replacement slot, a credit, or a refund. To be confirmed.

Technical problems

To be confirmed

How an interrupted lesson is handled when the connection fails on either side. To be confirmed.

Packages and expiry

To be confirmed

Whether prepaid lessons expire, and what happens to unused ones. To be confirmed.

Refunds

Ask at least one working day before the lesson and it is refunded. Inside the last 24 hours it is not, and a missed lesson counts as taken.

How the money is returned, and how long it takes, is handled by whichever payment method you used. Ask Jingyao if you need to know before booking.

Holidays and breaks

To be confirmed

How to pause lessons for a holiday or a busy period. To be confirmed.
