“HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I’ve been studying with Jingyao laoshi every week for one year-ish and honestly, the progress still surprises me. Before this, I tried learning Chinese by myself multiple times throughout the years and always ended up giving up especially because I struggled so much with Chinese characters. But learning with laoshi has been completely different. Now I feel confident speaking simple Chinese. She adjusts every lesson to match my pace really well and the amount of vocabulary and grammar in each class feels just right - enough to challenge me and make progress, but not so much that I feel overwhelmed or forget everything afterward Every class, laoshi reviews previously learned words and grammars to make sure I can still recognize and understand them. She keeps track of what I should review again if I forget something. Also, I get to create LOTS of sentences using both new and previously learned things which honestly helps everything stick in my memory much better. What I appreciate most is that I never feel embarrassed to make mistakes or ask her to repeat things again and again. No matter how many times I don’t understand something, she always patiently explains it calmly which makes learning feel very comfortable. I read slowly but every time I recognize or read something successfully, I genuinely feel proud of myself. Can't say thank you enough but 谢谢老师 Jingyao : )”
